According to the press release issued by the Labor Bureau today, the statistical data for February 2023 indicates a minor decrease in the All India Consumer Price Index Number (CPI-IW), which now stands at 132.7.

The AICPIN, or All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers, tracks the changes in average prices of goods and services consumed by industrial workers in India. It is derived from a basket of essential items such as food, clothing, housing, and fuel.
The Indian government uses AICPIN data to adjust the Dearness Allowance paid to employees in response to inflation. The AICPIN report for February 2023 is set to be released on March 31, 2023, with an update to follow from us.
