How to Register for Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 Admission through official Mobile App?

The materials required for Registration of Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 Admission are:
- Your Mobile number (Indian SIM Card),
- Your E-mail ID,
- Scanned photograph of the child (JPEF File, less than 256 KB),
- Scanned Birth Certificate of the child (JPEF or PDF File, less than 256 KB),
- If you are applying under the economically weak section, details of the Government Certificate,
- Transfer details of the Parents/Grandparents whose service credentials will be used in the application.
We explain step-by-step to register for the first time in KVS Class 1 Admissions.
Step 1: Open the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Admissions 2020-21 App on your mobile phone. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and the materials mentioned above ready.
Step 2: Click Register
Step 3: Click ‘I Agree’ on the Instruction pop-up box
Step 4: Click the box beside “I have carefully gone through….”
Step 5: Click ‘Proceed’
New Registration Page pops up
Step 6: New Registration Page pops up. Enter the details asked. You can change the language from English to Hindi by pressing the button on top-right corner. But the information has to be filled in English only.
NOTE: The data entered cannot be modified after the sign-up. So please enter the details carefully.
Step 7: Enter the first, middle, last name of the child as per the Birth Certificate or other admissible document certifying the name of the child.
Step 8: If your child is differently-abled, then choose yes. Otherwise no.
If you choose Yes, the parent is asked to produce a proof of disability i.e., a certificate from the civil surgeon/ rehabilitation center or any other competent authority defined by the Government of India O.M. No. 36035/5/88/Estt.(SCT) dated 4.5.1999 certifying the child to be handicapped, at the time of admission.
Step 9: Enter the Date of Birth of the child as per the birth certificate.
Step 10: Child/Grandchild of KVS Employee. Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu. If not, select ‘Not Applicable’.
Step 11: Fill in a valid, in-use Email address.
Step 12: Fill in a valid, in-use Mobile Number (with an Indian Sim card).
Step 13: Enter the Captcha Code displayed to proceed further.
Step 14: After checking all the above details, click Register.
An OTP will be sent by SMS to your registered mobile number now. The OTP will be valid only for 15 minutes.
Step 15: Enter OTP.
Step 16: Click ‘Verify’.
After that, an acknowledgment page will appear with a unique Login Code. You are strongly advised to note down the Login Code. Without this Login Code, it is not possible to submit an admission application form. The Login Code will be sent to the registered email address and registered mobile number by SMS as well.
This completes the Registration process!
Frequently Asked Questions and Answers on Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 Admission for the academic year 2020-21
Answer: No. Not accepted two or more applications for the same child in the same Vidyalaya. The KVS instructions said you are strongly advised NOT to submit multiple applications to the same Vidyalaya for the same child. If any Vidyalaya detects multiple applications for the same child, all applications of the child to that Vidyalaya will be considered null and void. However, you are permitted to apply a maximum of 3 Kendriya Vidyalayas for your child.
Answer: The age limit is very explicitly and strictly adhered to during class 1 admission in all Kendriya Vidyalayas. The minimum age for admission for class 1 is 6 years and the maximum admissible age is 8 years as of 1st April 2022.
Answer: The cutoff date for the children in the general category is between 1.04.2013 to 1.04.2015.
Answer: No. There will be no fee or hidden charges for applying class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya. It is absolutely free.
Answer: Not only government servants, self-employed business persons, and persons working in private sectors are eligible for applying their children in KVs. However, the admission process will be executed as per the admission guidelines 2020-21 issued by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
