The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas will open for physical classes wherever State Government has allowed opening school initially for Classes 10th and 12th. Further, directions will be given shortly in respect of other classes based on the availability of accommodation and devices to students.
Students are to be permitted to stay on the campus only with the consent of the parent.
SOP of NVS and SOP of state/UT govt. and direction of the State/UT Government is to be strictly followed. Physical classes are permitted only if the state/UT permits the opening of residential schools.
If JNV is functioning as a quarantine centre/L1 hospital, all efforts are to be made to vacate the same by having a liaison with District Administration. Students are to be called only after vacating the quarantine centre/ L1 hospital for physical classes and sanitizing the school premises.
lf the school is located in the containment zone, only online classes will continue.
The JNVs with the highest class of XII have to call the students of XII initially as per the SOP of NVS followed by Class-X.
If Class 10 and 12 is the highest class of the JNV, students of Class-X only are to be called for physical classes.
Copy of the COVID management plan prepared by each JNV is to be
shared with the District Magistrate of the concerned district.
The Principal & staff must remain on duty on the campus so that the Vidyalaya activities may be carried out properly. Leave to Principal and staff may be sanctioned only in unavoidable circumstances.
Periodic counselling of students by counsellors and HM/AHM must be
carried out to ensure proper mental health and well being of the students.
The academic loss /backlog portion of the syllabus must be focused
according to the need of individual students. The academic activities must be planned in such a way that the students of board classes may be ready for board exams with thorough preparation and may achieve the target of NVS. If required special/doubt classes should be arranged based on the academic loss of an individual student.
Academic activities must be arranged to ensure social distancing in the classroom also. The instructions contained in the SOP must be followed strictly.
Students of class 12 students are to be supported to face the competitive examination for professional college admission.
Facilities provided by NVS are to be fully utilized to improve the performance of the students concerned. The subject teacher should facilitate their preparation.
Games and Sports / Yoga activities may be organised by maintaining social distancing.
As per the notification of CBSE, the final practical examination will commence from March-202land hence practical classes must be arranged on priority immediately in addition to classroom interaction.
The common gathering may be arranged on a need basis only with all
precautions including social distancing.
The protocol of wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and frequent hand washing must be implemented strictly. Necessary sanitiser and other facilities may be arranged by all JNVs.
Online classes must continue to ensure that the students, for whom parents have not given consent to stay in a hostel, do not face any academic inconvenience. This should also include the students of classes who are not called for physical classes.
The safety/ security and well being of students must be given top priority.
Please ensure that a maximum of only 50% of the capacity of the dormitory excluding the provision of a temporary quarantine facility made by the Vidyalaya for JNV students is used for accommodating students.
The daily report in the format enclosed is to be submitted latest by 3:00 PM every day to NVS (HQ) without fail after collecting the required information from JNVs.
