MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has declared that all state employees, including teachers, will receive a Dearness Allowance (DA) rise of 4% beginning on January 1, 2023. This increase will take effect immediately. The administration of the state made a good choice by taking this measure, which will provide some much-needed financial respite to the state’s teachers and employees.
As a result of the announcement made by the Chief Minister of an additional 4% DA rise, the quality of life for teachers and other government employees in Tamil Nadu will improve. the rise in DA of 4% that will become effective on the first of January in 2023. Because of the increase in DA, they will be able to pay for the things they need on a daily basis, and they will also have some extra money to put toward their long-term financial goals. Because of this, the state government will have an easier time meeting its financial obligations, and it will also be able to pay its employees and teachers higher wages.
It is excellent news that the Dearness Allowance for retired teachers, retired government employees, and family pensioners in Tamil Nadu has recently been raised by 4%. The current value of the DA across the board is 38%. The amount of DA or DR will be calculated based on the basic wage or basic pension, whichever is higher.
