Computer Shortcut Keys for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Keyboard shortcuts are keys or combinations of keys that allow you to do what you normally do with a mouse in a different method.

Here are some of the most often used keyboard shortcuts:

Shortcut Key for Undo

This function allows you to return to your previous input, Whatever program you’re running. So don’t worry about making a lot of blunders because this shortcut will rescue you every time.

Undo Shortcut: Ctrl + Z

Shortcut Key for Select All

This shortcut selects all text, files, folders, or items in a program or page. Rather than wasting time moving your mouse across the page, use this to get everything all at once.

Shortcut Key for Copy

When working on a Windows system, this is undoubtedly one of the most commonly used shortcut keys. Copy anything you want and keep it with you until you’re ready to paste it.

Easily paste all that you have copied. If you want to paste basic, unformatted text, simply add Shift to it, i.e. Ctrl + Shift + V.

  • Ctrl+E – This key is used to align the text Center.

  • Ctrl+G – To Open Find in a browser (GO to) and word processors.
  • Ctrl+H – To Open the Find and Replace in Notepad, Microsoft Word, and WordPad
  • Ctrl+I – This shortcut key is used to make the selected text italic in MS Word.
  • Ctrl+J – View downloads in browsers and set justify alignment in Microsoft Word.
  • Ctrl+K – Create a hyperlink for the highlighted text in Microsoft Word and many HTML editors.
  • Ctrl+L – This shortcut key is used to make the selected text left align in a word processor.
  • Ctrl+M – Indent selected text in word processors and other programs.
  • Ctrl+N – To Create a new page or New Document.
  • Ctrl+O – Open a file in most programs.
  • Ctrl+P – Open a print window to print the page you’re viewing.
  • Ctrl+R – Reload the page in a browser or right-align text in a word processor.
  • Ctrl+S – To Save the document or file.
  • Ctrl+T – To Create a new tab in an Internet browser or adjust tabs in word processors.
  • Ctrl+U – To make Underline for the selected text.
  • Ctrl+V – To Paste any text or another object that has been copied.
  • Ctrl+W – To Close the open tab in a browser or close a document in Word.
  • Ctrl+X – To Cut selected text or another object.
  • Ctrl+Y – These keys will redo any undo action.
  • Ctrl+Z – These two keys will help to undo any action.
