If you’re a Central Government employee seeking admission for your child in a Kendriya Vidyalaya, there are certain guidelines you need to follow. Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Single Girl Child 2023
A “Single Girl Child” refers to a family’s sole child who is female and has no other siblings. In school, only up to two single girl children are allowed per section in class I, and two per class in class VI and beyond, including twin girl children. If the number of applications from single girl children (including twin girl children) exceeds the allotted seats (maximum of two per section in class I and two per class in class VI), there may be a selection process.
For the academic year 2023-24, Kendriya Vidyalaya is offering free education for single girl children and twin girls. For classes I and VI, a maximum of two single girls or twins can be admitted per section. If there are twins, this will count as one admission and both of their names should be written on the same slip when determining the chosen candidates through the draw of lots. If there are more applications than the allotted seats for single girls or twins, the admissions process will be based on the Priority Category. If multiple applications fall under one category, all will be taken into account and the selected candidates will be chosen through a draw of lots.
KV Online Admission 2023-24 Class 1 Age Limit
The criteria for admission to a KV school for the upcoming academic year has been altered. The minimum age for entry into Class 1 has been increased to 6 years on March 31, 2023. Consequently, parents cannot sign up their children for the 2023-24 term in the Kendriya Vidyalaya admission portal. This modification has left parents perplexed as they think that the past age limit should be kept for admittance to Kendriya Vidyalaya. However, the Central Government firmly declared that the alteration of age criteria has been determined in accordance with the New Education Policy’s proposals.
Here is the minimum and maximum age limit for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas for different classes:
