Required qualified teachers as mentioned below on contractual, part-time, purely temporary, and day-to-day basis for the session 2022-23 only. A contractual teacher who has served in a KV in a year may be considered in subsequent year(s) by the Selection Committee for a fresh appointment as Contractual teachers by following due procedure. Consolidated remuneration to be paid to different categories of teachers appointed on contract basis.
Consolidated payment on monthly basis may be made to the contractual teachers for the duties performed including invigilation/exam related work instead of per period basis hitherto in force in the Kendriya Vidyalayas. However, the contractual teachers appointed for a period of less than a month will be paid on pro rata basis only.
Teachers appointed on contractual basis will not be entitled for vacation pay and during Autumn/Winter break payment should be calculated on the pro rata basis.
How to calculate the monthly payment for contractual teachers
The monthly payment towards the contractual teachers and the pro-rata payment to the teachers may be regulated as follows.
Example: In the normal station, a PGT worked for 15 days on April 13 from 01.04.13 to 15.04.13.
Consolidated Pay / 30 Days x No of days worked
Say as : Rs.27,500 / 30 Days x 15 Days = Rs.13,750.

The contractual recruitment process of PGT, PRT, TGT teachers has been started by the management of respective Kendriya Vidyalaya. According to the requirement of the staff and teachers of the school, the Head of Department will decide and issue notification for the recruitment. Every year all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools are recruiting teachers on a temporary basis. Every academic year all KV school management issues recruitment notification as per their need of teachers, coaches, and instructors purely based on the contract.
The consolidated monthly pay for the contractual PRT teachers is Rs. 21,250 (Normal Station), Rs. 26,250 (Hard Station), Rs. 28,750 (Very Hard Sation) in all Kendriya Vidyalayas.
The consolidated monthly pay for the contractual Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) is Rs. 21,250 (Normal Station), Rs. 26,250 (Hard Station), Rs. 28,750 (Very Hard Sation)
The consolidated monthly pay for the contractual Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) is Rs. 26,250 (Normal Station), Rs. 31,250 (Hard Station), Rs. 33,750 (Very Hard Sation).
As per the Recruitment Rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya, the basic salary of the Vice-Principal (Assistant Education Officer) grade is Rs.56100 (Pay Matrix Level 10) under Pay Band 3.
As per the Recruitment Rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya, the basic salary of a Primary Teacher is Rs.35400 (Pay Matrix Level 6) for Entry Scale, Rs.44900 (Pay Matrix Level 7) for Senior Scale, and Rs.47600 (Pay Matrix Level 8) for Selection Scale.
As per the Recruitment Rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya, the basic salary of a Trained Graduate Teacher is Rs.44900 (Pay Matrix Level 7) for Entry Scale, Rs.47600 (Pay Matrix Level 8) for Senior Scale, and Rs.53100 (Pay Matrix Level 9) for Selection Scale.
As per the Recruitment Rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya, the basic salary of Post Graduate Teacher is Rs.47600 (Pay Matrix Level 8) for Entry Scale, Rs.56600 (Pay Matrix Level 10) for Senior Scale, and Rs.67700 (Pay Matrix Level 11) for Selection Scale.
As per the Recruitment Rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya, the basic salary of a Senior Hindi Translator is Rs.35400 (Pay Matrix Level 6) with 40 increment stages.
