AFD CSD Online Portal has successfully completed one year of great service to Defence Personnel and Ex-Servicemen! The AFD CSD Portal has Launched on 8th January 2021. The AFD CSD online shopping website has completed one year of service and stepped on 2nd year! The AFD CSD online web portal is selling AFD-I items to Armed Forces Personnel and Ex-Servicemen. The costly items, such as Cars, Bikes, Scooters, and electronic items are included in the AFD-I category. The AFD CSD online portal has sold over 81000 cars in one year! And also sold over 48000 two-wheelers within a year!

AFD CSD Portal Online Payment Procedure

All AFD CSD beneficiaries are paid the amount for the AFD items only through their own bank account. Payment from any third-party account will not be accepted and the order will be rejected by the AFD CSD Team. And there will be no Cash Transaction at all! If the cost of the AFD item is above Rs.10 Lakhs, the beneficiary would be given an option to split the payment into 2 online payments to overcome the limitation put by SBI bank on the maximum amount that can be transacted through net banking.

In case you choose Bank Transfer mode, Please download the e-challan generated by the Payment Gateway that will be mentioning the virtual Account number, IFSC code and the exact amount to be deposited by NEFT/RTGS. The VCN generated in e-challan is a 16-digit account number. The first nine digits are the number and the remaining is IFSC Code (YESB0CMSNOC). The CSD beneficiaries can take a printout of the e-challan to your bank and request Bank to do NEFT/RTGS exactly as per the details mentioned on the e-challan. Please note that each e-challan payment is valid only for one transaction and if the amount remitted is not as per what is mentioned on the e-challan, Payment Gateway will reject that transaction and you will get a refund back in your bank account.

What is the periodicity of other AFD-I purchases like TV/AC/Fridge/Mobiles/Laptops/Desktops/Washing M/c & Two Wheelers etc?

• As of date, it is once in four years from the date of last purchase. The periodicity is reviewed periodically by O/o DDGCS which shall be applicable from time to time.

Is there any minimum service requirement as in the car for other AFD-I items?

• “NO”, all categories of canteen smartcard holders as stated below are entitled to purchase other AFD-I items irrespective of the service period.

Who all are entitled to other AFD-I items (viz) Two Wheeler, Fridge, Washing Machine, T.V, AC, Mobiles, Laptops & Desktops, etc.?

• The following category of canteen smartcard holders are authorized for other AFD-I items:-
• (a) Serving Armed Forces personnel.
• (b) Retired Armed Forces personnel.
• (c) Serving Defence Civilians only.

When can I buy the same category product again?

• Any product of the same kind can be bought only once in the specified period. Kindly contact CS Directorate (afd.csdindia.gov.in) for more information.

Why do I get this alert, “You are not entitled to purchase the selected car”?

• There are three entitlement categories(Officers, JCO, OR) and every category has a different Pay Level. If any user is getting the above-said message then the user must choose a different product of lower value within their allowed limit.
