According to the Central Government orders and notification, 14 days are declared as compulsory holidays including three National holidays (Republic Day, Independence Day and Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday). In some of the BSNL regions such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and NER, due to the importance of local festivals, the holiday list slightly varies the New Delhi list. Particularly, the three restricted holidays (Effective Holidays) will be decided by the CGWCC (Central Government Welfare Co-ordination Committee) in the respective State.

BSNL office working days and timings
BSNL offices in India remain closed on Sundays and Public holidays. And the working hours of the administrative offices are from 9 am to 5.30 pm including the lunch break from 1 pm to 1.30 pm. The customer care service will be available every day. In some of the particular regions, the post offices are working at night hours. The transaction hours of night post offices are from 4 pm to 8 pm.
