What is the Procedure for Admission in KV Schools through MP recommendations?
You may approach your MP (Member of Parliament of your constituency) either in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya with qualified merits. This is another way to get admission in KV school for your children on the recommendation of MP. If he accepts your demand, he will give a letter in a prescribed format for admission.
MP Quota in KVS
Each MPs can nominate 10 children for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya located in his constituency under the scheme of Special Dispensation Admission every year.
Revision of Special Dispensation in KVs
As per the decision taken in the 103rd Board of Governors meeting held on 30.10.2015, the existing quota of 06 (six) children for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas on the recommendation of Hon’ble Members of Parliament during each academic session under the Special Dispensation Scheme is enhanced from 06 to 10 (ten) with effect from the academic session, i.e. 2016-17.
The Revised Scheme of Special Dispensation Admission for Members of Parliament comes into vogue with effect from the academic session 2016-17 with the following features:
1. Each Hon’ble Member of Parliament can refer 10 (ten) cases for admission under the scheme in an academic year but such recommendations shall be confined to children whose parents belong to his constituency either by domicile or on account of having been soon-before posted there or else on account of exigencies of service, migrate to his constituency.
Such recommendations would be for admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya(s) located in his constituency only. In case there is no Kendriya Vidyalaya in the constituency of the Hon’ble MP(Lok Sabha), she/he can recommend these admissions in the Kendriya Vidyalaya(s) located in any neighboring contiguous constituency. For Members of Rajya Sabha, the State from which the member has been elected would be deemed to be his constituency for this purpose. Nominated members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha can recommend 10 cases for admission in any one or more Kendriya Vidyalaya(s) of the country.
2. These admissions shall be over and above the class strength.
3. These recommendations would be made for classes I and IX.
4. These admissions would be made at the beginning of the academic year and no admission would be allowed after the prescribed cutoff date of the year.
5. The recommendations to be made shall be valid only if these are made in the prescribed format provided to each member of Parliament by KVS(HQ). Recommendations sent in any other format/manner shall not be considered.
6. The children recommended by Hon’ble Members of Parliament must be otherwise eligible for admission as per the extant KVS Admission Guidelines.

विषय : केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश हेतु माननीय सांसदों के लिए विशेष छूट के कोटे में अभिवृद्धि
केविसं के अधिशासी मंडल की 30 अक्तूबर, 2015 को सम्पन्न 103वीं बैठक में प्रदान किए गए अनुमोदन की परिणामस्वरूप माननीय संसद सदस्सों के लिए केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश संबंधित वर्तमान योजना में प्रदत्त 06 बच्चों के कोटे को बढ़ाकर 10 कर दिया गया है।
यह संशोधित विशेष छूट प्रवेश योजना शैक्षिक सत्र 2016 -17 से लागू होगी जिसकी प्रमुख शतें निम्न प्रकार हैं –
- प्रत्येक माननीय सांसद एक शैक्षिक वर्ष में केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश हेतु 10 (दस) प्रवेश की सिफारिश कर सकते है परंतु ये सिफारिशें माननीय सांसदों की निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से संबंधित ऐसे अभिभावकों के बच्चों के लिए सीमित होंगी जो या तो उस क्षेत्र के निवासी हैं, या अपनी सेवाओं की आकस्मिकताओं के कारण वहाँ स्थानांतरित हुए हों, या अपनी तैनाती के एकदम पहले उस निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में रह रहे हों।. ऐसी सिफारिशों केवल अपने निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में स्थित केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश की लिए है मान्य होंगी। यदि माननीय सांसद (लोकसभा ) के निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में कोई केंद्रीय विद्यालय स्थित नहीं है अथवा यदि माननीय सांसद (लोकसभा) के निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में स्थित केंद्रीय विद्यालय में संस्तुत कक्षा / स्ट्रीम नहीं है तो सांसद ये सिफारिशें अपने निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के निकटवर्ती निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में स्थित किसी भी एक या अधिक केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश की लिए कर सकते है
राज्यसभा के सांसद ये सिफारिशें उस राज्य में स्थित केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में प्रवेश के लिए कर सकते है जहां से वे चुने गए हैं ।
राज्यसभा एवं लोकसभा के मनोनीत सदस्य प्रवेश के लिए 10 संस्तुतियां देश भर के किसी भी केंद्रीय विद्यालय के लिए भेज सकते हैं।
- ये प्रवेश कक्षा की निर्धारित क्षमता से ऊपर होंगे।
- ये संस्तुतियां प्री – प्राइमरी, दसवीं एवं बारहवीं कक्षाओं को छोड़कर अन्य किसी भी कक्षा के लिए की जा सकती हैं।
- ये प्रवेश शैक्षिक सत्र के आरंभ में किए जाएंगे और संबंधित वर्ष में सामान्य प्रवेश के लिए दी गई निर्धारित तिथि अर्थात 31 जुलाई के बाद ऐसे किसी प्रवेश की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी ।
- माननीय सांसद द्वारा की गई संस्तुतियों को तभी वैध समझा जाएगा जब वे केविसं द्वारा उपलब्ध कराए गए निर्धारित प्रारूप में की जाएंगी। अन्य किसी भी प्रारूप में / तरीके से भेजी गई संस्तुतियों पर कोई विचार नहीं किया जाएगा ।
- माननीय सांसद द्वारा जिन विद्यार्थियों की प्रवेश के लिए संस्तुति की गई है उनका केविसं की प्रवेश – दिशानिदेशों के अनुरूप योग्य होना आवश्यक हैं।
