Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is the Headquarters of all KV schools located across India. The online admission for all Kendriya Vidyalaya (above 1240) is being successfully conducted by the KVS last few years. Usually, the KVS admission will start in the first week of March every year. Unfortunately, due to the spread of Covid-19, the admission process was not conducted in the priority month. But, in the academic year 2022-23, the admission process will be expected to start in the month of March.

- The online registration process for Class 1 will start from 28th February 2022 (Monday) on the official website of KV Sangathan (www.kvsangathan.nic.in). The registration process will close on the 21st March 2022.

1. Common Instructions
- These instructions are related to the online application for Class 1 admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the academic year 2021-2022.
- In supersession of all the guidelines governing admissions in Kendriya Vidyalayas that have been issued in the past, the following guidelines are issued to regulate admissions in the Kendriya Vidyalayas with effect from the academic session 2021-22 and onwards.
2. Priority Admissions
- Priority Admission is when a school sets a date by which applications given the most consideration must be received
The following priorities shall be followed in granting admissions:
a) Children of transferable and non-transferable Central government employees and children of ex-servicemen. This will also include children of Foreign National officials, who come on deputation or transfer to India on the invitation.
b) Transferable and non-transferable state government child employees.

- The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years if the principal has Differently-abled children.
If a student seeks admission in the year of passing the Class X examination, there is no age limit for Class 11 admission. Similarly, there will be no upper and lower age limit for joining the XII class if there is no break in the student’s continuing study after passing the 11th class.
The minimum age for admission to class 1 is 6 years and the maximum admissible age is 8 years as on 31st March 2022.

KVS Admission 2022-23 for class 1: Class one online admission to more than a 1230 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools located in India will begin at 10 AM on 28.2.2022 Monday onwards! The process of online registration for class 1 admission is begins in a single window system! All parents are advised ready to keep all necessary documents for submission in the official portal!
KVS Admission 2022-23 for class 2: The possibility of getting admission in class 2 and above in any Kendriya Vidyalaya is very less! The application process for classes 2 and above will be done in the respective school. The physical application form will be issued by the school management.
